Fabric Glossary
Silk: A luxurious natural fiber known for its softness, sheen, and smooth texture. Silk fabrics are often used for elegant eveningwear and bridal attire.
Lace: An intricate openwork fabric with delicate patterns, typically made from threads of silk, cotton, or synthetic fibers. Lace is commonly used for bridal gowns and lingerie.
Ankara: A vibrant and colorful African wax print fabric, often used in African fashion for clothing and accessories.
Chiffon: A lightweight, sheer fabric with a soft drape, commonly used for evening gowns, scarves, and bridal veils.
Satin: A glossy fabric with a smooth surface and a shiny finish. Satin is favored for formalwear, including dresses, blouses, and lingerie.
Crepe: A textured fabric with a crinkled or pebbly surface. Crepe is versatile and used in dresses, blouses, and skirts.
Organza: A sheer and lightweight fabric with a crisp finish, frequently used in wedding dresses, evening gowns, and decorative elements.
Tulle: A fine, net-like fabric often used for veils, tutus, and ballerina skirts. It can be made from silk, nylon, or other materials.
Brocade: A richly decorative fabric with raised patterns woven into it, commonly used for formal attire, upholstery, and drapery.

Batik: A fabric that is traditionally dyed using a wax-resist technique to create intricate patterns and designs.

Textile Terminology
Thread Count: The number of threads per square inch in a woven fabric. A higher thread count often indicates a finer and more luxurious fabric.
Weave: The pattern in which threads are interlaced to create a fabric. Common weaves include satin, twill, and plain.
Drape: How a fabric hangs or falls when used in clothing. Fabrics with good drape flow gracefully, while stiff fabrics may not drape as well.
Bias Cut: Fabric cut at a 45-degree angle to the grain of the fabric. This technique enhances a fabric’s stretch and drape, making it ideal for certain garment designs.

Seam: A line where two pieces of fabric are joined together with stitching.
Embroidery: The art of decorating fabric with needle and thread, often used to create intricate patterns and designs on clothing.
Trendsetter: Someone who is known for setting or following fashion trends and influencing style choices.

General Fabric Care Terms
Dry Clean: A cleaning process that uses solvents instead of water. Dry cleaning is recommended for delicate fabrics.
Hand Wash: Washing a garment by hand in cool water, typically for delicate fabrics or those prone to shrinking.

6. Tracking Number:Â A unique identification code provided to customers to track the progress and location of their shipment in real-time.
7. International Delivery:Â The service of delivering orders to customers located outside the country of the seller’s business.
8. Shipping Fee:Â The cost associated with shipping and delivering a customer’s order, often influenced by factors like weight, distance, and delivery speed.
9. Address Accuracy:Â The importance of ensuring that the shipping address provided by the customer is complete and correct to avoid delivery delays or issues.
